Cauliflower pepper stir fry

Sometimes I love the have the natural color of vegetable even after it is cooked. So I tired doing cauliflower with green chilies and ground peepers. To say, the taste was different and my little one liked it very much and ended up eating as such.

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower - 1 (medium size)
  • Onion - 1 chopped
  • Green chilly - 1 (slit into lengthwise)
  • Pepper, salt - to taste
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil - 3 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Method:

Separate the cauliflower into small florets. Heat a medium size pan with oil. Add cumin seeds. After it splutters add green chilly and onions and fry for 5 minutes.

Add cauliflower, pepper and salt and cover. Cook for 10 minutes in a medium heat or until cauliflower is cooked. Switch off. Add lemon juice and freshly grounded pepper.

I actually hate cauliflowers, but my husband loves them... but I must say I have seldom seen a dish which calls for such a simple, beautiful recipe that retains all the natural colour and flavor of a vegetable. great job!
